Disciplinary Counsel – Investigations
The Board of Professional Responsibility of the Supreme Court of Tennessee is seeking a motivated attorney for the position of Disciplinary Counsel in the Investigations Section. This position is located in Brentwood.
SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Deputy Chief Disciplinary Counsel Investigations and the Chief Disciplinary Counsel, investigates attorney disciplinary matters and prepares and presents ethics continuing legal education.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Investigate complaints of attorney misconduct
- Analyze written materials to determine the merits of a disciplinary complaint
- Prepare and present ethics continuing legal education seminars
Skills and Ability: Strong communication and writing skills are required. Working knowledge of the Tennessee Rules of Professional Conduct is preferred.
Education and/or Experience: Applicants must be licensed in Tennessee and have significant experience in the practice of law
