CHATTANOOGA LAWYER SUSPENDED
On September 24, 2008, the Tennessee Supreme Court entered an Order suspending the law license of
Jeffrey A. Stinnett, a Chattanooga lawyer, for four (4) months. The Board of Professional Responsibility filed a
Petition for Discipline against Mr. Stinnett alleging that Mr. Stinnett had continued to practice law while
administratively suspended for noncompliance with his Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements.
Mr. Stinnett agreed for a four (4) month suspension which was approved by the Tennessee Supreme
Court. Mr. Stinnettâs actions violated the Rules of Professional Conduct. Mr. Stinnett may resume the practice
of law without further order of reinstatement by the Tennessee Supreme Court. Mr. Stinnett shall comply with
the requirements and obligations of suspended attorneys as set forth in § 18 of Rule 9, Rules of the Supreme
Court.
