The above complaint was ï¬lm against James Charles Edwards, an attormy liwnssd to practice:
law in Tcmmasee, alleging aeréain acts of misconduct. Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, the Board of
Professional Respomibility considered this matter at its zmeting on Septamber 93 2016â
Mr. Edwards failed to diligently wpwsem his; 431mm and failed t0 expedite the ï¬iing ofhis climtâs
divorce; action. After M1â. Eciwardsâ repmsanmtion wag iâmminatcsd by his; client, M13 Edwards submitted
an unreasmmble invoice for fees to the client. The; fees were: unreasonable bassd upon the lack 0f
camp'lexity ofthe legal sew/meg requested and the lack of any rasuâlts obtained for the client.
By these acts, James Charles Edwards has âviolated Rules of Professional Cmdâuct 1.3 (diligenwx
1.5 (fees), and 3.2 (expediting litigation) and he is hereby Publicly Censured for these Vioiatians.
