NASHVILLE LAWYER REINSTATED BY SUPREME COURT
By Order of the Supreme Court entered on October 8, 2008, Kathy A. Leslie has been reinstated to the
practice of law upon payment of the full amount of the Board of Professional Responsibilityâs costs. On June
27, 2006, Ms. Leslie was suspended from the practice of law for thirty-six (36) months, retroactive to April 6,
2004 for misappropriation of funds from two clients. Ms. Leslie returned the funds prior to the disciplinary
hearing. On April 28, 2008, Ms. Leslie filed a Petition for Reinstatement and a hearing was held on August 29,
2008. Based upon the Hearing Panelâs recommendations, the Supreme Court found that Ms. Leslie has
demonstrated that she has the moral qualifications, competency and learning in the law required for admission
to practice law and that her resumption of the practice of law will not be detrimental to the integrity or standing
of the bar or administration of justice, or subversive to the public interest.
