LAWRENCE COUNTY LAWYER REINSTATED BY SUPREME COURT

Charles Matthew Bates, a Lawrence County attorney, has been reinstated to the practice of law by
Order of the Tennessee Supreme Court entered on June 3, 2010. Mr. Bates was temporarily suspended from
the practice of law by Order of the Supreme Court on April 22, 2010, for failing to respond to a complaint of
misconduct. On May 7, 2010, Mr. Bates filed a Petition for Dissolution of Order of Temporary Suspension.
On May 25, 2010, a Hearing Panel of the Board of Professional Responsibility recommended that the
temporary suspension be dissolved. The temporary suspension was dissolved pursuant to the Supreme
Court’s Order of June 3, 2010.
