MEMPHIS LAWYER TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED
On April 8, 2010, the Supreme Court of Tennessee temporarily suspended the law license of Timothy
Allen Price, of Memphis, Tennessee, pursuant to Section 4.3 of Rule 9 of the Rules of the Tennessee Supreme
Court. The Board of Professional Responsibility petitioned the Court to temporarily suspend Mr. Priceâs law
license because he failed to respond to a disciplinary complaint of ethical misconduct and because he poses a
threat of substantial harm to the public.
The Order precludes Mr. Price from accepting any new cases as of April 8, 2010. Mr. Price was
permitted to represent existing clients until May 10, 2010. After May 10, 2010, Mr. Price shall not maintain a
presence or occupy an office where the practice of law is conducted. Mr. Price shall take such action as is
necessary to cause the removal of any indicia of lawyer, counselor at law, legal assistant, law clerk, or similar
title.
The Order requires Mr. Price to notify all clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel in pending matters
of the Supreme Courtâs Order suspending his law license.
This suspension remains in effect until dissolution or modification by the Supreme Court. Mr. Price
may for good cause request dissolution or modification of this suspension by petition to the Supreme Court of
Tennessee.
