ORDER OF REINSTATEMENT
This matter is before the Court, pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 30.4(d), upon a
Petition for Reinstatement filed on May 12, 2016, by the Petitioner, Jocelyn D. Mims.
Ms. Mims was disbarred from the practice of law by Order of this Court on August 18,
2009. On May 17, 2017, the Hearing Panel entered its Judgment recommending that Ms.
Mims be reinstated with conditions. The Judgment of the Hearing Panel was considered
and approved by the Board on June 9, 2017.
From all of which the Court approves the Judgment of the Hearing Panel and
adopts the same as this Court’s Order.
IT IS, THEREFORE,
DECREED BY THE COURT:

CONSIDERED,

ORDERED,

ADJUDGED

AND

1.
The Petitioner, Jocelyn D. Mims, is hereby reinstated to the practice of law
in the State of Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 30.4(d), subject to the
following conditions:
a. Ms. Mims is to continue with her mental health treatment with quarterly
updates submitted to the Board of Professional Responsibility.
b. Ms. Mims shall provide evidence to the Board of Professional
Responsibility of completion of 2016 CLE requirements.
2.
Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 24.3, Ms. Mims shall pay to the Board of
Professional Responsibility the expenses and costs of this matter in the amount of
$630.00, and shall pay to the Clerk of this Court the costs incurred herein, within ninety
(90) days of the entry of this Order, for all of which execution may issue if necessary.

3.
The Board of Professional Responsibility shall cause notice of this
reinstatement to be published as required by Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 28.11.
