JACKSON LAWYER CENSURED
The Board of Professional Responsibility issued a Public Censure as to Linda Sesson Taylor, an attorney
who practices law in Jackson, Tennessee. A complaint was filed concerning a non-lawyer allegedly practicing
law in Ms. Taylorâs office. Ms. Taylor did not know that this staff member was doing so. However, she did
fail to adequately supervise her staff. The matter was compounded by Ms. Taylorâs failure to timely respond to
this complaint. The Board found that Ms. Taylor violated Rules of Professional Conduct 5.3(a), as well as DR
1-102(A)(5) and 3-101(A), which were still in effect for a part of the time this violation occurred.
This censure was issued pursuant to Rule 9, Rules of the Supreme Court of Tennessee. This censure
does not limit Ms. Taylorâs ability to continue to practice law.
