Public censure on November 16, 2000. He conducted a title business, issuing title insurance on
behalf of First American Title Insurance Company. First American audited Mr. Bolen's business
and ordered him to conduct monthly reconciliations of his escrow account. Mr. Bolen failed to
do so. Two checks were forged on the account and Mr. Bolen did not learn of the forgery for
over a year. Mr. Bolen's business then failed and First American suffered a loss of
approximately $35,000. No restitution had been made to First American. A second client also
lost money due to the forgery; however, Mr. Bolen made restitution to the second client.
