SUMNER COUNTY LAWYER SUSPENDED

On November 26, 2024, the Tennessee Supreme Court suspended Jocelyn Doria Mims from the practice
of law until further orders of the Court pursuant to Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9, Section 22.3. Ms. Mims
was adjudged guilty of two (2) felony counts of Tampering with Evidence, one (1) count of Making False
Report, and three (3) counts of Intentional Failure to Report Child Sexual Abuse.
Pursuant to the Order of the Supreme Court, the matter has been referred to the Board to institute formal
proceedings to determine the extent of the final discipline to be imposed upon Ms. Mims as a result of her
conduct constituting a serious crime as defined by Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9, Section 2.

Ms. Mims must comply with the requirements of Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9, Sections 28 and
30.4, regarding the obligations and responsibilities of suspended attorneys.
