ORDER REMOVING DISABILITY INACTIVE STATUS
This matter is before the Court, pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R, § 27.7(a), upon an
October 13, 2020 Petition for Removal from Disability Inactive Status and a January 21, 2021
Amended Petition for Reinstatement to Active Status, both filed by Jody Rodenborn Troutman.
Ms. Troutmanâs law license was placed on disability inactive status by an October 23, 2015
Order of this Court. In a January 29, 2021 Response to the Petition and Amended Petition, the
Board of Professional Responsibility notes no objection and recommends granting Ms.
Troutmanâs request and removing her disability inactive status pending resolution of all
pending disciplinary complaints. In accordance with Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9 § 27.7, the Court
concludes that Ms. Troutmanâs petition should be GRANTED.
IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED, ADJUDGED, AND DECREED BY THE COURT
THAT:
1. Jody Rodenborn Troutmanâs disability inactive status is hereby removed pursuant to
Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 27.7(b).
2. Any pending disciplinary proceedings must be resolved prior to Ms. Troutmanâs
reinstatement. Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9. § 27.7(c).
3. Ms. Troutmanâs temporary suspension imposed by the December 21, 2020 Order of
this Court in Case No. M2020-01690-SC-BAR-BP remains in effect pending further
orders of this Court.
4. Ms. Troutman shall pay the Clerk of this Court the costs incurred herein within
ninety (90) days of the filing of this Order, for all of which execution, if necessary,
may issue.
