The above complaint was filed against William Lee Whectlcy, an attorncy licensed to
practice 1m in Tennessee, alleging certain acts of misconduct. Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9,
the Board of Professional Responsibility considered these mattcrn at its mccttng on December 6,
2013. '
â Aï¬ct Mr. thatlcy was appointed counsel in dcpcnticncy and ncglcct proceedings, Mn
Wheatlcy failed to communicate with his client although his ciicnt made several attempts to contact
him. Mr. thutlcy did not communicate his client until aï¬cr the: ï¬ling cf the prcscnt disciplinary
complaint. Mr. thatlcy was previously issued public discipiinc for failure to communicate: with
clients.
By the aforementicncd acts, Mr. Wheatlcy violated Rules of Profcssicnnl Conduct 1.3
(diligence), and 1.4 (communication) and is hereby Publicly Ccnsurcci for these violations.
