NASHVILLE LAWYER PUBLICLY CENSURED
Nashville lawyer, James A. Waechter, was censured by the Board of Professional Responsibility
on January 13, 2004, for acting as a title insurance agent and holding himself out to the public as
an attorney when in fact he had been under a continuing legal education suspension since 1993.
His business cards lists Waechter as âAttorney at Law.â He was a partner in âMoore, Waechter
& Spannâ. Waechter violated DR 1-102(A)(1)(4)(5)(6) and DR 3-101(B) of the Code of
Professional Responsibility and Rules 5.5; 5.7; and 8.4 of Tennessee Rules of Professional
Conduct.
