MEMPHIS LAWYER TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED

On September 30, 2009, the Tennessee Supreme Court temporarily suspended the law license of
Stephanie Calvert, a Memphis attorney, pursuant to Section 4.3 of Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9. The
Board of Professional Responsibility petitioned the Court to temporarily suspend Calvert’s law license because
of Calvert’s failure to respond to a complaint of ethical misconduct.

Pursuant to Rule 9, Section 4.3, Calvert cannot accept new clients or undertake any new representation.
She may represent existing clients for 30 days, after which she cannot represent them. Calvert may file an
application with the Tennessee Supreme Court requesting a dissolution or modification of the temporary
suspension order. If she makes such an application, a hearing to consider whether the suspension should be
continued, modified or dissolved will be conducted before a panel consisting of two members of the Board and
one Hearing Committee member from Shelby County.
