Public censure on April 25, 2000. While he was pursuing criminal action for a worthless check
against his current client, he also filed a motion to convert the client's Chapter 13 to Chapter 7.
At the time he filed the motion to convert the client's bankruptcy, he was unaware the client had
written him a bad check. He also filed the client's voluntary petition, appeared with the client at
a meeting of creditors, and filed a response to motion to trustee to dismiss. The client later hand-
delivered a money order to him for payment of the fee. The client was later arrested on the
charge filed by Bowers. He filed a motion to withdraw from the client's case, which was
granted.
