LAW LICENSE OF LEXINGTON ATTORNEY SUSPENDED

On December 13, 2007, the Supreme Court of Tennessee entered an Order suspending the law
license of Stephen M. Milam for six (6) years retroactive to June 26, 2007 and from and after December 26,
2007, placing Milam on probation conditioned upon Milam’s compliance with the conditions of his deferred
sentence and supervised probation. From and after December 26, 2007, Milam is permitted to practice law but
if Milam fails to meet any of the conditions of his probation, Milam’s permission to practice law shall be
withdrawn immediately with the time remaining on the suspension to remain in full force and effect.

Milam was summarily suspended by the Supreme Court on June 26, 2007. Milam’s suspension
was a result of pleading guilty to serious crimes, i.e., obtaining or attempting to obtain a controlled substance by
fraud; possession of Schedule III controlled substance; and obtaining/attempting to obtain controlled substance
by fraud.

The Board of Professional Responsibility had previously filed a Petition for Discipline against
Milam on July 20, 2005. Milam’s Conditional Guilty Plea to the six (6) year suspension and probation resolves
the Board’s Petition for Discipline and summary suspension.

This disciplinary matter was held pursuant to Supreme Court Rules 8 and 9. Milam’s conduct
violates Rule 8.4(a)(b)(d) of the Tennessee Rules of Professional Conduct.
