The above complaint was filed against Samuel Lee Perkins, an attorney licensed to practice law in
Tennessee, alleging certain acts of misconduct.

Pursuant to Term. Sup. Ct. R. 9, the Board of

Professianal Responsibility considered this matter at its maeting on June 9, 2017.
Mr. Parking failad to timely file a Mation for New Trial for his criminal diam wfiich prohibited
the client from raising issues on appeal other than insufficiency of the evidenea. (Ever five years later, the:

client’s petition far postmonvicticn relief was granmd‘ Mr. Perkins’ conduct caused an enumous waste
oftime and resources in the murt system.
