The above complaint was ï¬led against Steven Edward Saws, #22560, an attorncy
licensed tc practice law in Tcnncsscc, alleging certain acts of misconduct. Pursuant to Tenn
Sup. Ct. R. 9 this: Board of Professional Responsibility ccnsldc:ed this matter at its meeting on
Dcccmber12,2014.
After being temporarily suspended from the practiceof law, the Respondent antercci into
an cngagcmcut agrcemcnt with a client in an immigration asylum case. The Respondent misled
this client by representing that in: was wcrking on an appeal in thc asylum case. The client '
disccwred that no appeal had been timcly ï¬led and that the Respondentâs liccnsc to practice law
had been suspended. On November 26, 2014, the Rcspcmicnt was disbarred for misconduct in
an um'clatcd case. '
