ORDER

This matter is before the Court pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 27, and upon its
Order entered on November 17, 2017, transferring David Dwayne Harris to disability
inactive status and referring the matter to a hearing panel to determine his ability to
practice law and to defend himself in a disciplinary proceeding. Upon proof submitted to
the hearing panel and upon agreement of the parties, the hearing panel entered its Order
finding that it is appropriate for Mr. Harris to remain on disability inactive status pursuant
to the requirements of Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 27. (See Exhibit A)

Based upon the Order of the hearing panel, this Court finds that it is appropriate
for Mr. Harris to remain on disability inactive status until further orders of this Court.

IT IS, THEREFORE, CONSIDERED, ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND
DECREED BY THE COURT THAT:

1. The law license of David Dwayne Harris shall remain on disability inactive
status for an indefinite period of time and until further orders of the Supreme Court.

2. Mr. Harris shall be allowed to petition for reinstatement to active status
pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 27.7.

3. The Board shall publish notice of this transfer pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R.
9, §§ 27.5 and 28.11.

4. Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 32.4, documents other than this Order
relating to Mr. Harris’s disability proceeding shall not be public records and shall be kept
confidential.
5. The Court deems it proper and advisable to suspend disciplinary
proceedings against Mr. Harris until further Orders of this Court, pursuant to Tenn. Sup.
Ct. R. 9, Section 27.4(b).
