(Davidson County)

No. M2017-00351-SC-BAR-BP
BOPR No. 2017-2687-5-AJ-12.3

ORDER

This matter is before the Court on a Petition of the Board of Professional
Responsibility of the Supreme Court of Tennessee (“the Board”), by and through
Disciplinary Counsel, for the temporary suspension of Kevin William Teets, Jr., from the
practice of law, pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 12.3. The Board’s petition was filed
on February 22, 2017. On February 23, 2017, Mr. Teets filed a motion for a protective
order and a request to file documents under seal. On February 24, 2017, Mr. Teets filed a
motion to stay the proceedings in order to file a response to the petition for temporary
suspension and also filed a request for the motion to be filed under seal. On the same
day, the Board filed responses in opposition to Mr. Teets’ motions. On February 27,
2017, Mr. Teets filed a reply to the Board’s responses with an accompanying request to
file his reply under seal.

After due consideration, the Court respectfully denies Mr. Teets’ motion for a
protective order, the motion to file documents under seal, and the motion to stay the
proceedings.
