WILLIAMSON COUNTY ATTORNEY PLACED ON DISABILITY
On January 13, 2003, the Supreme Court of Tennessee issued an order transferring the
law license of Byron R. Simpson, of Williamson County, Tennessee, to disability inactive
status. Section 21, Rule 9 Rules of the Tennessee Supreme Court, provides that if a
lawyer is so incapacitated that he cannot adequately practice law, his law license may
be transferred to disability inactive status. In this case, Mr. Simpson agreed to the
transfer. Mr. Simpson may have his license reinstated upon showing that his disability
no longer exists.
