NASHVILLE LAWYER DISBARRED

On January 26, 2010, Michael H. Sneed of Nashville, Tennessee, was disbarred by the Tennessee
Supreme Court pursuant to Rule 9, Section 4.1, of the Rules of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court
affirmed the Hearing Panel’s ruling after a hearing on a Petition for Discipline and two (2) Supplemental

Mr. Sneed violated disciplinary rules by neglecting client cases; failing to keep clients informed; failing
to explain his potential conflict of interest to clients; failing to respond to the Board of Professional
Responsibility’s requests for information; committing trust account violations; failing to safeguard funds; and
assisting non-attorneys in the unauthorized practice of law. Mr. Sneed’s actions violated Tennessee Supreme
Court Rule 8, Rules of Professional Conduct 1.3 (diligence); 1.4 (communication); 1.7 (conflicts); 1.15
(safeguarding property); 5.3 (responsibilities regarding non-lawyer assistants); 5.4 (professional independence);

Mr. Sneed was ordered to pay the expenses and costs of the disciplinary proceedings against him,
pursuant to Rule 9, Section 4.7, of the Rules of the Supreme Court and to fully comply in all respects with the
requirements and obligations of disbarred attorneys as set forth in Rule 9, Section18.1 of the Rules of the
Supreme Court.
