Public censure on August 20, 1985. After being retained for representation regarding an injury
occurring during the client's employment, he did not file a lawsuit and, on inquiries by the client,
made false statements about developments in the case. When the client determined from an
inquiry of the Court Clerk that there was no lawsuit pending, he admitted he had not filed suit
and had given false information. In a second matter, he was employed to file suit relative to a
real estate investment partnership and failed to file any action but advised the client that the suit
was pending and progressing well.
