WINCHESTER LAWYER SUSPENDED BY SUPREME COURT
By Order of the Tennessee Supreme Court entered March 13, 2008, Quisha A. Light was suspended from
the practice of law for four years effective May 30, 2007. A Petition for Discipline had been filed against Ms.
Light by the Board of Professional Responsibility on April 5, 2007. Ms. Light converted fees on several cases that
were owed to her previous employer and kept the fees for her own use and personal benefit. On July 10, 2007, a
Conditional Plea of Guilty was filed with the Board of Professional Responsibility to resolve the Petition for
Discipline in exchange for the four-year suspension.
Ms. Light admitted violating Rule of Professional Conduct 8.4(a)(b)(c)(d).
Ms. Light may be reinstated to the practice of law at the expiration of the four-year period only upon filing
a Petition for Reinstatement, as required in Section 19 of Supreme Court Rule 9, and by demonstrating by clear and
convincing evidence that she should be reinstated to the practice of law. Ms. Light must make restitution to
attorney Michelle Benjamin in the amount of $5,952.50 and pay the costs of the disciplinary proceedings.
