SULLIVAN COUNTY ATTORNEY CENSURED

On January 12, 2012, Jerry Todd Ross of Kingsport, Tennessee, was Publicly Censured by the
Tennessee Supreme Court pursuant to Rule 9, Section 4.4, of the Rules of the Supreme Court.

Mr. Ross failed to diligently represent his client and failed to adequately communicate with his client in
a termination of parental rights and adoption proceeding in violation of the Rules of Professional Conduct.

By the aforementioned acts, Mr. Ross has violated Rule 1.3 (diligence) and 1.4 (communication) of the
Rules of Professional Conduct and is hereby Publicly Censured for this violation.

A Public Censure is a rebuke and warning to the attorney, but it does not affect the attorney’s ability to
practice law.
