MEMPHIS ATTORNEY PLACED ON DISABILITY
On September 15, 2006, the Supreme Court of Tennessee issued an order
transferring the law license of Thomas Davidson Williams, of Memphis, Tennessee, to
disability inactive status. Rule 9, Section 21, Rules of the Supreme Court, provides that
if a lawyer is so incapacitated that he cannot adequately defend himself against
disciplinary charges, his law license may be transferred to disability inactive status.
This case came before the Supreme Court based upon an order finding Mr. Williams is
disabled and unable to defend himself. Williamsâ license shall remain on disability
inactive status indefinitely until further order of the Supreme Court.
