The above complaint was ï¬led against Randall Keith Hatï¬eld, an attorney licensed to practice law
in Tennessee, alleging certain acts of misconduct. Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct; R. 9, the Board of
. Professional Responsibility considerad this matter at its meeting on June 9, 2017.
Mr. Hatï¬eld failed to diligently represent his; client or expedite ma litigation in his clientâs postâ
conviction proceeding. Mr. Hatï¬eld also failed to adequately communiaata with his client and other
persons associated with the raptesentation and was ultimately rammed as appainted counseI by the court.
By these acts, Randall Keith Hatï¬eld has violated Rules ofPtofessinnaI Conduct 1.3 (diligence),
1.4 (ccmmunication), 3.2 (expediting litigation), and 8.4M) (conduct prejudicial to the
justice), and is hereby Publicly Censured for these violations.
