Suspended for three (3) years by order entered January 19, 2000. He violated the conditions of
his probation as outlined in the previous July 20, 1999 Order. He failed to make himself
available for drug screens; failed to attend a minimum of 5 twelve-step meetings per week,
including regular attendance at the Nashville Bar's twelve-step meeting; used drugs during his
probationary period; filed an affidavit and letter which contained false statements of fact;
accepted fees and neglected the client's case; failed to communicate with the client; failed to
appear in court on behalf of clients and was found in contempt of court for failure to appear; and
he abandoned his law practice. He was given notice of the disciplinary hearing but did not
appear. His probation was revoked and he was immediately suspended.
