IN THE SUPREME COURT OF TENNESSEE
AT NASHVILLE
IN RE: JEDIDIAH CHALRES MCKEEHAN, BPR NO. 026473
An Attorney Licensed to Practice Law in Tennessee
(Knox County)

No. M2024-01775-SC-BAR-BP
BOPR No. 2023-3335-2-DB

ORDER
On December 4, 2024, Jedidiah Charles McKeehan and the Board of Professional
Responsibility filed a Joint Motion to Vacate Order of Enforcement entered December 3,
2024.
The partiesâ motion recites, in relevant part, that (i) Mr. McKeehan filed a Petition
for Review with the Chancery Court for Knox County, Tennessee on October 10, 2024, and
served the same with a summons on the Office of the Attorney General by email on October
10, 2024; (ii) the Board of Professional Responsibility did not receive any notice from the
Office of the Attorney General of Mr. McKeehanâs filing and proceeded with the filing of
a Notice of Submission and a proposed Order of Enforcement on November 27, 2024,
pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, §15.4; (iii) neither Mr. McKeehan nor his counsel were
aware that the Board had not received notice of the filing of the Petition for Review or that
the Board had proceeded with filing a proposed Order of Enforcement; and (iv) the parties
agree the entry of the Order of Enforcement was premature, and it would be appropriate to
vacate the Order of Enforcement and reinstate Mr. McKeehan to the active practice of law
given the pendency of his appeal.
Upon due consideration of the circumstances recited herein, the joint motion of the
parties is granted, and the Order of Enforcement entered December 3, 2024, is vacated.
Jedidiah Charles McKeehan is reinstated to the active practice of law pending further order
of this Court.
It is so ORDERED.
