HAMILTON COUNTY LAWYER CENSURED

On February 20, 2020, Charles Gammons Wright, an attorney licensed to practice law in Tennessee,
received a Public Censure from the Supreme Court of Tennessee.

The Board of Professional Responsibility filed a Petition for Discipline against Mr. Wright pursuant to
Rule 9 of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Tennessee. A Hearing Panel found Mr. Wright failed to advise his
client of the one-year statute of limitations prior to its expiration and did not notify his client of the termination
of his representation. Mr. Wright was ordered to pay the costs of the disciplinary proceeding.

Charles Gammons Wright’s conduct violated Rules of Professional Conduct 1.16(d) (Declining and
Terminating Representation), and 8.4(a) (misconduct) and is hereby Publicly Censured for these violations.
A public censure is a rebuke and warning to the attorney, but it does not affect the attorney’s ability to
practice law.
