PUBLIC CENSURE
The above complaint was ï¬led against Andrew Nicholas Wilson, #25760, an attorney
licensed to practice law in Tennessee, alleging certain acts of misconduct. Pursuant to Tenn. Sup.
Ct. R. 9, the Board ofProfessional Responsibility considered these matters at its meeting on March
9, 2018.
I The Respondent represented a client in a lawsuit that was removed from state court to
federal distn'ot court. As the Respondent was not admitted to practice in federal court, the court.
issued a notice of deï¬ciency advising him to ï¬le amotion to appear pro hac vice. When he did
not-respond to the court, the court entered an order directing him to show. cause as to why he should
not be removed as attorney of record. The Respondent did not respond to the show cause order or
take any other action. The court then entered an order directing the Respondent to appear and
show cause why he should not be removed as counsel and sanctioned for his failure to comply .
with the notice and prior order. The Respondent did not attend the scheduled hearing. The court
removed him as counsel of record, reprimanded him for his repeated disregard of its orders, and
forwarded itsâorder to the Board of Professional Responsibility.
By the aforementioned acts,â Andrew Nicholas Wilson has violated ~Rule ofProfessional
Conduct 3.4(0) (disobey obligation under rules of tribunal), 5.5 (unauthorized practice of law), and
8.4td) (conduct prejudicial to administration ofjustice) and is hereby Publicly Censured for these .
violations; ,
