CARTHAGE LAWYER SUSPENDED
On April 22, 2009, Jacquelyn M. Scott of Carthage, Tennessee, was suspended by the Tennessee
Supreme Court for a definite period of one (1) year and four (4) months retroactive to Ms. Scottâs Temporary
Suspension on November 8, 2007 and indefinitely until Ms. Scott has substantially complied with her
Tennessee Lawyerâs Assistance Program (TLAP) Monitoring Agreement for a period of six (6) months.
Ms. Scott violated Disciplinary Rule 8.4 by failing to substantially comply with her TLAP Monitoring
Agreement. Ms. Scott was ordered to pay the expenses and costs of the disciplinary proceeding against her,
pursuant to Section 4.7 of Rule 9, Rules of the Supreme Court, and was further ordered to comply with the
requirements and obligations of suspended attorneys as set forth in Section 18.1 of Rule 9, Rules of the
Supreme Court of Tennessee.
