CLARKSVILLE LAWYER REINSTATED
TO PRACTICE OF LAW BY SUPREME COURT

By Order of the Supreme Court entered October 11, 2004, Stanley D. Darnell was
reinstated to the practice of law on the conditions that he conduct his practice of law from one
office or location and that he enter into a practice monitoring agreement with another attorney
for a period of two years. By Order of the Supreme Court entered May 15, 1991, Mr. Darnell
had been suspended for two years retroactive to September 12, 1990, the date on which he had
previously been temporarily suspended by the Supreme Court. Mr. Darnell was suspended for
an additional sixteen months retroactive to September 12, 1992, by Order of the Supreme Court
entered January 11, 1995. Mr. Darnell filed a Petition to Reinstate Law License on December 2,
2003. On August 11, 2004, a Hearing Panel of the Board of Professional Responsibility
conducted a hearing on the Petition to Reinstate Law License. The Hearing Panel found that Mr.
Darnell had carried his burden of proving the requirements for reinstatement and recommended
that Mr. Darnell's license to practice law be reinstated on the stated conditions. The Order
requires Mr. Darnell to pay the cost of the reinstatement proceeding.
