FORMER NASHVILLE ATTORNEY DISBARRED
On March 4, 2002, the Supreme Court of Tennessee entered an order disbarring Attorney
Almose A. Thompson.
On January 22, 2001, the Board of Professional Responsibility filed a Petition for Discipline against
Thompson. On December 18, 2001, a Hearing Panel of the Board of Professional Responsibility
recommended Thompson be disbarred for failing to fully comply with the Order of the Tennessee
Supreme Court granting Thompson reinstatement with conditions; for neglecting clientsâ cases;
misrepresenting facts to a client; failing to keep clients informed and failing to appear in court for a client.
In Tennessee, disbarred lawyers may after five years apply for reinstatement of their law licenses.
However, to be reinstated, Thompson must show by clear and convincing evidence that his
reinstatement will not be detrimental to the integrity and standing of the bar or administration of justice or
subversive to the public interest.
