GALLATIN LAWYER CENSURED
On September 11, 2008, the Tennessee Supreme Court entered an Order publicly censuring
Randy P. Lucas.
The Board of Professional Responsibility filed a Petition for Discipline against Mr. Lucas
pursuant to Rule 9, Rules of the Supreme Court of Tennessee. Mr. Lucas submitted a Conditional
Guilty Plea in which Mr. Lucas admitted borrowing money from a client in violation of the Rules of
Professional Conduct. Mr. Lucas has made full restitution to the clientâs estate. For these violations, the
Tennessee Supreme Court publicly censured Mr. Lucas. A Public Censure is a rebuke and warning to
the attorney but does not limit the attorneyâs ability to practice law.
