DAVIDSON COUNTY LAWYER SUSPENDED
On September 30, 2009, David Alan Gold, formerly of Nashville, Tennessee, was suspended by the
Tennessee Supreme Court pursuant to a Conditional Guilty Plea for a period of four (4) years, nine (9) months,
retroactive to Mr. Goldâs suspension on January 7, 2005, referred to Tennessee Lawyerâs Assistance Program
(TLAP) for evaluation, and ordered to complete all Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements.
Mr. Gold pled guilty to accessory after the fact of especially aggravated robbery in State vs. Gold. Mr.
Goldâs actions violated Rule 8.4 of the Rules of Professional Conduct.
Mr. Gold was ordered to pay the expenses and costs of the disciplinary proceeding pursuant to Section
24.3 of Rule 9, Rules of the Supreme Court, and must fully comply with the requirements and obligations of
suspended attorneys as set forth in Section 18.1 of Rule 9, Rules of the Supreme Court. Mr. Gold must comply
with Section 19 of Rule 9, Rules of the Supreme Court, should he seek reinstatement of his law license and not
resume the practice of law until reinstated by further Order of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
