MEMPHIS LAWYER CENSURED
On January 19, 2010, Lenal Anderson, an attorney licensed to practice law in Tennessee, received a
Public Censure from the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
Mr. Anderson violated Rules of Professional Conduct 1.3 and 1.4 by failing to diligently pursue his
clientâs litigation. Mr. Anderson failed to keep his client informed about the status of the matter. He waited
several years before attempting to join with a lawyer in the location where suit would have to be filed.
Lenal Andersonâs actions violated Rules of Professional Conduct 1.3 (diligence) and 1.4
(communication) and he received a public censure for these violations. A public censure is a rebuke and
warning to the attorney, but it does not affect the attorneyâs ability to practice law.
