Disbarred by order on September 12, 1991. He had been temporarily suspended since August
16, 1990. As the attorney for Coda Y. Hayes, the Administratrix of the Estate of James L.
Williamson, he removed funds from the Estate bank account; commingled the Estate funds with
his general office escrow account and then misappropriated Estate funds for his personal use and
benefit. He filed false accountings regarding the Estate in the Shelby County Probate Court and
forged his client's signature on Estate account checks. The Supreme Court ordered he make
restitution of the funds he misappropriated.
