KENTUCKY LAWYER TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED

On September 17, 2008, the Supreme Court of Tennessee suspended the Tennessee law license of
Kari M. Morton, of Madisonville, Kentucky, pursuant to Section 17 of Rule 9 of the Rules of the Tennessee
Supreme Court. The Board of Professional Responsibility filed a petition for reciprocal discipline with the
Court after the Supreme Court of Kentucky entered an order imposing a thirty-day suspension against
Morton.

The complaints filed against Morton in Kentucky alleged, among other things, that Morton failed to
diligently represent her clients, failed to properly advise her clients, engaged in conduct involving fraud,
deceit or misrepresentation, and failed to respond to the inquiries of disciplinary counsel. Morton did not
dispute any of those allegations.

Morton was further ordered to pay the expenses and costs of the disciplinary proceedings against her,
pursuant to Rule 9, Section 24.3 of the Rules of the Supreme Court and fully comply in all respects with the
requirements and obligations of suspended attorneys as set forth in Rule 9, §18.1 of the Rules of the Supreme
Court.
