KINGSPORT ATTORNEYâS LAW LICENSE SUSPENDED
On November 2, 2006, the law license of Thomas Martin Browder, Jr. was suspended
pursuant to Section 4.3, Rule 9, Rules of the Tennessee Supreme Court. This rule provides that
when a lawyer has entered into a contract or agreement with the Tennessee Lawyers Assistance
Program and has failed to substantially comply with that contract, the court may immediately
suspend that lawyerâs law license. Mr. Browder has failed to substantially comply with his
contract with the Tennessee Lawyers Assistance Program, and as a result, the Supreme Court
suspended Mr. Browderâs law license.
Mr. Browder may request dissolution of this suspension order by filing a petition
requesting dissolution. A hearing is then held before a panel consisting of two members of the
Board of Professional Responsibility and one hearing panel member to determine whether it
would recommend the dissolution of the suspension.
