HENRY COUNTY LAWYER CENSURED

On January 9, 2024, Rebecca Carole Griffey, an attorney licensed to practice law in Tennessee, received
a Public Censure from the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Supreme Court.

Ms. Griffey filed an application for a Chancellor position on May 29, 2019, with the Tennessee Trial
Court Vacancy Commission. Ms. Griffey knowingly failed to disclose information responsive to questions on
the application.

By these acts, Ms. Griffey has violated Rules of Professional Conduct 8.2(a)(3) (knowingly making a false
statement concerning the qualifications of a judicial candidate), 8.2(b) (violation of the Code of Judicial Conduct
by a candidate for judicial office), and 8.4(c) (and (d) (misconduct). Ms. Griffey is hereby Publicly Censured for
these violations.

A Public Censure is a rebuke and warning to the attorney, but it does not affect the attorney’s ability to
practice law.
