KNOXVILLE LAWYER SUSPENDED BY SUPREME COURT
By Order of the Supreme Court of Tennessee filed March 6, 2006, Joe M. Felknor's
license to practice law was temporarily suspended, pursuant to Section 4.3 of Rule 9, Rules of
the Supreme Court of Tennessee, upon a finding that Mr. Felknor had substantially failed to
comply with a contract entered into with the Tennessee Lawyers Assistance Program.
The Order precludes Mr. Felknor from accepting any new cases effective March 6, 2006.
Mr. Felknor may continue to represent existing clients for thirty days. Mr. Felknor must cease
representing existing clients effective April 5, 2006. After April 5, 1006, Mr. Felknor shall not

practice of law is conducted.
The Order requires Mr. Felknor to notify by registered or certified mail all clients being
represented in pending matters, as well as co-counsel and opposing counsel, of the Supreme
Court's Order suspending his law license. Section 18 of Supreme Court Rule 9 requires Mr.
Felknor to deliver to all clients any papers or property to which they are entitled.
Mr. Felknor may for good cause request dissolution or modification of this suspension by
petition to the Supreme Court. This suspension remains in effect until dissolution or
