ORDER OF REINSTATEMENT
This matter is before the Court, pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 30.4(d), upon a
Petition for Reinstatement filed on February 21, 2019 by the Petitioner Walter Alan Rose,
and the Hearing Panel Order entered August 7, 2019, recommending reinstatement. Mr.
Rose was suspended from the practice of law by Order of this Court on January 11, 2017,
for a period of three (3) years, retroactive to October 30, 2015. A Notice of Submission
was filed by the Chief Disciplinary Counsel indicating that the Board considered and
approved the opinion of the Hearing Panel, Mr. Rose has satisfied all conditions set forth
in the Order imposing discipline and he is eligible for reinstatement.
From all of which the Court grants the Petition for Reinstatement.
IT IS, THEREFORE, CONSIDERED, ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND
DECREED BY THE COURT:
1. The Petitioner, Walter Alan Rose, is hereby reinstated to the practice of law
in the State of Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 30.4(d), subject to the
following conditions:
(a) Mr. Rose shall enter into a new Tennessee Lawyerâs Assistance
Program contract for a period of eighteen (18) months.
(b) Mr. Rose, at his personal expense, shall engage William T. Ramsey
as his practice monitor. Mr. Rose shall confer with his practice
monitor weekly and meet with him monthly to review the status of
his cases, fee agreements and deposits of trust funds and retainers.
(c) Mr. Rose shall complete six (6) hours of Ethics CLE in addition to
the required fifteen (15) hours of CLE for 2019.
2. Mr. Rose shall pay to the Clerk of this Court the costs incurred herein
within ninety (90) days of the entry of this Order, for which execution may issue if
necessary.
3. The Board of Professional Responsibility shall cause notice of this
reinstatement to be published as required by Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 28.11.
