KNOXVILLE LAWYER TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED BY SUPREME COURT
By Order of the Supreme Court of Tennessee filed September 19, 2007, the law license of Aubrey Lewis
Davis was temporarily suspended, pursuant to Rules of the Supreme Court of Tennessee, upon a finding that
Mr. Davis failed to respond to the Board of Professional Responsibility concerning a complaint of misconduct.
Mr. Davis may continue to represent existing clients for thirty days. Mr. Davis must cease representing
all clients effective October 19, 2007, and may not accept new cases following that date. After October 19,
2007, Mr. Davis shall not use any indicia of lawyer, legal assistant, or law clerk, etc., nor maintain a presence
where the practice of law is conducted.
The Order requires Mr. Davis to notify by registered or certified mail all clients being represented in
pending matters, as well as co-counsel and opposing counsel, of the Supreme Court's Order suspending his law
license. Section 18 of Supreme Court Rule 9 requires Mr. Davis to deliver to all clients any papers or property
to which they are entitled.
Mr. Davis may for good cause request dissolution or modification of this suspension by petition to the
Supreme Court. This suspension remains in effect until dissolution or modification by the Supreme Court.
