PUBLIC CENSURE
The above complaint was ï¬led ageinst Jewel Guy Boozer, an attorney licensed to practice
law in Tennessee, alleging certain acts of misconduct. Pursuant t0 Supreme Court Ruie 9, the
Board of Professional Responsibility considered these matters at its meeting on September 9,
2011.
The Reepomlentâs Clienl alleges that in. April 2008, âthe Respondent agreed to represent
him in Seeking cempensatien for his hearing loss. The Client met with the Respondeht twice in
April 2008, and returned to the Respondent's office in January and February of 2009. The
Respondent told the Client that he was working on the ease. The Clienhweht back to the
Respondentâs ofï¬ce in late 2031):, and was told that the Respondent no lenger had a law license.
The Client asserts that he needs his papele back, but has been unable to eentact the Respondent.
The Reepondent has failed to respond to the Board.
By the aforementienecl facts, Jewel Guy Boozer, has violated Rules of Professieimi
Conduct 1.3 (diligence), 1.4 (communication), 1.16 (terminating represemaiion), and B.âl(b)
(responding to disciplinary authority) and is hereby "Publicly Censuiâed for these violations.
