DAVIDSON COUNTY LAWYER PLACED ON DISABILITY INACTIVE STATUS
By Order of the Tennessee Supreme Court entered January 4, 2016, the law license of Charles Powell
Jackson, III, was transferred to disability inactive status pursuant to Section 27.3 of Tennessee Supreme Court
Rule 9.
Mr. Jackson cannot practice law while on disability inactive status. He was temporarily suspended by
the Tennessee Supreme Court on July 3, 2014, and a petition for discipline was filed against him on September
23, 2014. He may return to the practice of law after reinstatement by the Tennessee Supreme Court upon
showing of clear and convincing evidence that the disability has been removed and he is fit to resume the
practice of law, and upon resolution of the temporary suspension and petition for discipline.
