IN THE SUPREME COURT OF TENNESSEE
AT NASHVILLE

IN RE: JASON RUSSELL BUCKLEY, BPR #026795
An Attorney Licensed to Practice Law in Tennessee
(Simsbury, Connecticut)
_______________________________

No. M2024-00515-SC-BAR-BP
BOPR No. 2024-3388-5-AW-30.4c
_______________________________

ORDER OF REINSTATEMENT

This matter is before the Court, pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 30.4(c), upon a
Petition for Reinstatement from Disciplinary Suspension Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9,
§ 30.4(c) filed on August 23, 2024, by Petitioner Jason Russell Buckley. Mr. Buckley was
suspended from the practice of law by Order of Reciprocal Discipline entered on August
8, 2024, for a period of one (1) year consistent with the Order on Motions for Sanctions M.
Bar R. 21 entered by the Supreme Judicial Court for the State of Maine, retroactive to
September 7, 2023.

A Notice of Submission was filed by the Chief Disciplinary Counsel indicating that
Petitioner’s one (1) year suspension, retroactive to September 7, 2023, imposed by the
Order of Reciprocal Discipline entered August 8, 2024, had been completed, and Petitioner
had complied with the requirements of Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 28. The notice further
indicated that Petitioner remained suspended in Maine, the originating jurisdiction, as well
as Connecticut pursuant to a reciprocal discipline order entered by Superior Court for
Connecticut on January 22, 2024. Finally, the Board believed it was constrained, in the
absence of a policy requiring petitioners seeking reinstatement from a reciprocal discipline
be reinstated first in the originating jurisdiction, to submit Petitioner for reinstatement to
the practice of law in Tennessee.

Upon due consideration of the petition and the response submitted from the Board,
the Court grants the Petition for Reinstatement.

IT IS, THEREFORE, CONSIDERED, ORDERED, ADJUDGED, AND
DECREED BY THE COURT:

1. The Petitioner, Jason Russell Buckley, is hereby reinstated to the practice of law
in the State of Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 30.4(c).

2. The Petitioner shall pay to the Clerk of this Court the costs incurred herein
within ninety (90) days of the entry of this Order, for which execution may issue
if necessary.

3. The Board of Professional Responsibility shall cause notice of this
reinstatement to be published as required by Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 28.11.
