CLARKSVILLE ATTORNEY CENSURED

On September 23, 2002, Rodger Bowman, of Clarksville, Tennessee, received a Public
Censure from the Board of Professional Responsibility. Bowman was given notice of the
censure and did not request a hearing.

Bowman self-reported to the Board of Professional Responsibility that in a Court of Appeals
case handled by Bowman, the Court of Appeals entered an order finding that Bowman failed
to file a motion to set aside a dismissal within the required ten day period, and Bowman failed
to provide the Court of Appeals with a satisfactory reason for Bowman failing to file a timely
response to a motion to dismiss. Bowman’s neglect of this Court of Appeals case violates
Disciplinary Rules 1-102(A)(1)(5)(6): DR 6-101(A)(3); DR 7-101(A)(1)(4); and DR 7-106(A)(6)
of the Code of Professional Responsibility. For these ethical violations, the Board of
Professional Responsibility publicly censures Bowman. The censure declares Bowman’s
actions to be unethical but does not limit his right to practice law.
