Suspended for three and one-half (3-1/2) years by order entered July 12, 1984. The suspension
resulted from 13 separate instances involving 13 individual clients or legal matters. He falsely
assured clients in several instances that he had taken legal action on their behalf when he had
not; failed to remit monies and property belonging to clients; entered into agreements concerning
legal matters without the clients' knowledge or consent; failed to preserve rights of clients; failed
to file briefs in a timely fashion in appellate matters (for which he was held in contempt);
negotiated checks while knowing they were not genuine; neglected legal matters; failed to
communicate with clients; and falsely advised clients their court cases were set for trial on
certain dates when the cases had not been set at all. He submitted a Conditional Guilty Plea to
the charges.
