MANCHESTER LAWYER PLACED ON DISABILITY INACTIVE STATUS
By Order of the Tennessee Supreme Court entered April 23, 2002, the law license of
Charles Shoffner Ramsey of Manchester, Coffee County, was transferred to disability inactive
status pursuant to Rule 9, Rules of the Supreme Court of Tennessee. Mr. Ramsey's disability arises
out of alcohol dependence, depression, and organic brain syndrome. The transfer to disability
inactive status was a result of agreement by Mr. Ramsey. Mr. Ramsey cannot practice law while on
disability inactive status. Mr. Ramsey can return to the practice of law only after reinstatement by
Order of the Supreme Court upon showing that his disability has been removed and that he is fit to
resume the practice of law.
